4a – The covid betrayal
1. COVID-19 was global in scale, with far broader impacts on health, economies, liberties, and families. 4. “Trust the science” was priestcraft, not science. This is one of the plaque’s strongest and most accurate points. True science thrives on scrutiny, falsifiability, debate, and correction—not dogma or punishment of dissent. During the pandemic, institutions, media, and platforms often treated evolving or contested views (on origins, transmission, treatments, mandates) as heresy to be suppressed. Dissenting scientists faced professional repercussions; social media and governments flagged or censored content later shown to have merit. 5. One of history’s greatest violations of honest weights and measures is substantially valid. Many people sacrificed compliance, livelihoods, education, and mental health expecting protection and honesty from leaders and experts. Instead, narratives shifted, uncertainties were sometimes minimized, financial incentives (e.g., in vaccines and related industries) created conflicts, small businesses were devastated, children bore disproportionate costs from school closures, and grief or questioning was often managed through messaging and censorship. This violated principles of honest governance and protection of the vulnerable. Calling it among history’s greatest such violations is subjective but resonates with lived experience for many. It echoes biblical warnings against false weights and measures or calling evil good.
Divine discernment would affirm the core warning – do not blindly trust authorities or narratives that harm the vulnerable or suppress truth – and would also counsel humility, precise language, and verifiable evidence over blind institutional trust. It would urge testing all claims (including this one), pursuing full investigation of origins and decisions, and building systems that better protect life and liberty without sacrificing either.
